- Begin packing items that are infrequently used, such as books, out
of season clothing, etc. Eliminate those belongings you no longer want

form."
- Notify your electric company; inform them of your new address so
there is no break in service.
- Notify your local phone service and order a new number if your calling
area has changed.
- Notify your cable TV company to disconnect service and inform them
of your new address.
- Notify banks and change your address on checks, insurance companies
and credit card companies.
- Inform magazine newspaper subscription offices, and State and Federal
tax authorities.
- If moving out of state, to obtain an IRS change of address call 800.829.3676.
- If printing Change of Address notices, prepare it now for mailing.
Obtain children's school records, and notify their new school.
- Obtain all family medical and dental records if moving out of town.
